[ENG] There is plenty of creative people, that's a fact, but not everyone has the style of Inhae Lee, a Korean artist living in California and the designer of My Milk Toof, a series of short stories about two theeth, Ickle and Larde. Ickle is a smart and curious toof who loves to read books and Lardee is the loveable, slightly pudgy toof who can be found following ickle around the house...

A great example of imagination and humor. And it's so successful they already have a book!

L'Ickle és intel.ligent i xafarder i li agrada molt llegir mentres que en Lardee és adorable i segueix a l'Ickle per tot arreu...

Lorena Marañón has very colourful collections which I love because she combines it with geometric shapes. It's for me a source of inspiration and motivation cause she began with that 3 years ago knowing nothing about hand embroidery! Amazing...

DIY: Proenza Schouler Neon Bracelet

[ENG] Although it is from the last spring-summer season, with the neon colours we see all around these days I think it's still in the top. And it's really easy to do it.

Material you need:

• Carabiner for keys.
• Window Tie Back Rope.
• Assorted Embroidery Floss.
• Fabric/Craft glue (make sure it is strong/clear/ fast drying).
• Scissors
• Lighter.

To do it, nothing easier than following the next video.

[CAT] Tot i que és de la temporada passada, amb la de colors neó que es veuen aquests dies és encara de màxima actualitat. I és ben senzilla de fer. 

Materials que necessites:

• Mosquetó petit o alguna peça de ferreteria per tancar.
• Cordó fluorescent
• Corda fina de diferents colors.
• Cola per roba (assegureu-vos que és forta).
• Tisores.
• Encenedor per cremar els caps.

Per fer-la, res més senzill que el vídeo que poso a continuació.

Let's go Shopping: Pins & Needles

 [ENG] Today I open a new section, Let's go Shopping, where I'll show you beautiful shops from far away and not so much where you'll find everything you need for your creations. Let's begin with Pins & Needles, a shop located in NYC which happily has an on-line shop at Etsy. It's a store where you can buy whatever you need for sewing, doing fabric crafts  (they have an extense fabric collection) and needlework and it's also a studio where you can learn beautiful things...Decoration is very accurated and the products they sell are beautiful. They also have an interesting blog. From Etsy you can mainly buy fabrics and books. I wish it was in Barcelona...

[CAT] Inauguro secció nova, Let's go Shopping, on us parlaré de botigues precioses de lluny i aprop on trobareu alló que necessiteu per fer les vostres creacions. Avui comencem amb Pins & Needles, una botiga ubicada a NYC però que afortunadament pels que no hi som, també tenen botiga a Etsy. És una botiga on pots comprar tot el que necessitis per cosir i fer treballs amb teles (una extensa col.lecció de dissenyadors punters) i també és un estudi on donen classes. La decoració està estudiada al detall i els productes que ofereixen són preciosos. Via Etsy, el que venen és principalment teles i també llibres. També tenen un blog molt interessant. Ja m'agradaria que fos a Barcelona...

Las Niñas Antiguas meet at the Park!

[ENG] Today we've meet at Parc de la Ciutadella to begin with the parks season...but, we've eaten more than sewing, which was the main reason to be there...But was great!

[CAT] Avui ens hem trobat al Parc de la Ciutadella per inaugurar la temporada de parcs...això sí, més menjar que cosir, tot sigui dit.

They've helped me decide what to do with this nice yarn/M'han ajudat a decidir què fer amb aquesta llana xula!

Getting ready for the Park

[ENG] Today we begin with the parks season with Las Niñas Antiguas. We are meeting at Ciutadella Park by midday. For now I'm showing you the pictures of what I'm cooking. Zucchini quiche with onions and blue cheese.
[CAT] I avui estrenem la temporada de parcs amb Las Niñas Antiguas. Hem quedat al Parc de la Ciutadella al migdia. I de moment us deixo les fotos del que estic cuinant: quiche de carbassó i ceba amb formatge blau.

 

Pleased to Meet You: Agata Olek

[ENG] Just arrived from my holidays at Lanzarote I've discovered that a very special artist has visited my city. It's neither more nor less than Agata Olek, an urban artist. From her hobby sewing and crocheting since she was a child she turned it into a job and also into art. It's common to recognise her job thanks to the camouflage pattern. A couple of days ago she came to celebrate her birthday and left us with a gift, the Botero cat (in Raval) all crocheted up! So cool...don't miss it! I love the musthache!

[CAT] Recent tornada de vacances a Lanzarote he descobert que una artista molt especial ha recorregut la ciutat. Es tracta ni més ni menys que d' Agata Olek, una artista fora del normal...de la seva afició de cosir i fer ganxet n'ha fet una professió i també un art. És característic seu el fet que teixeix com si de camuflatge es tractés...I fa un parell de dies va passar per Barcelona a celebrar el seu aniversari i va deixar petjada teixint una funda pel gat de Botero que hi ha al Raval. Molt, molt xulo, no us ho perdeu!

M'encanten els bigotis!
